The Graphic Design Intern’s Mission is to create visually captivating design assets that drive direct response marketing. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Graphic Design Intern produces persuasive visuals for both web and print that inspire immediate action from our audience and contribute to building a strong 4Patriots brand presence.

To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of graphic design and layout techniques. You should also have experience executing marketing projects from conception to production, including web graphics and product packaging.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts, graphics, and layouts for a wide range of marketing and advertising materials, including but not limited to websites, social media graphics, infographics, product packaging, direct mail, and print collateral
  • Refine images and layouts using graphic design software
  • Edit and resize banner ads for digital advertising
  • Apply typography techniques
  • Execute designs from conception to completion, ensuring brand consistency and use of marketing levers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and tools
  • Apply styles, features and elements from current templates
  • Maintain digital file organization and naming conventions
  • Become an expert on direct-response marketing design
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to understand project requirements and objectives
  • Present and communicate design concepts and ideas to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within budget
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance marketing campaigns

Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior in college
  • Major in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or similar major
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software
  • Portfolio of impressive design projects that demonstrate a strong command of various design software and tools
  • Understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual composition
  • Experience with digital and print design
  • Product packaging and label design experience a BIG plus
  • Direct-mail or direct-response marketing experience a BIG plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Must be able to work independently as well as collaborate within a dynamic multi-department environment to achieve common goals; organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously; take ownership and be self-motivated and resourceful to find problem solutions; be data and results driven; and learn quickly in a fast paced, open plan environment. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be detail oriented and adaptable.

Work Environment:

Work in a well-lit, ventilated and climate-controlled office environment with routine office equipment; some equipment has moving mechanical parts.

Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office environment.
